Capital City is one unit of almost 200 in the Young Marines of the Marine Corps League, a national nonprofit youth leadership program. Our participants are ages 8 through high school graduation. These youth learn skills enabling them to become leaders with integrity, confidence, respect, honor, knowledge and courage. Their journey is transformational and life changing.

We provide educational and instructional opportunities in classroom settings, as well as in the great outdoors. Team building, proper nutrition, first aid, physical fitness, drug-free living, patriotism, and service to others are just a few of the concepts our youth learn and teach to others.

Some of our favorite outdoor activities include hiking and camping. Over the last two years, we experienced storms while on camping trips. The first storm destroyed ten tents, which were replaced by a generous benefactor. Sadly, a recent storm ruined the rest of our older tents, which now must be replaced.

So that all of our young people can participate in the program, we rely on fundraisers to help lower the cost for all. We hope you will consider donating to our fundraiser so that we can purchase fifteen more tents plus other needed items, as we continue to offer this life-changing program to young people of all economic backgrounds.
